Andrea
Obregon.

Rising junior at Northwestern studying Neuroscience and Psychology, driven by a desire to help others. Curious about how people think, learn, and develop, and passionate about the intersection of science, communication, and impact.

About

Driven by helping others.

A constant throughout my academic journey has been my goal to help other people. Much of my growth has come through volunteer work, tutoring and teaching students from kindergarten through high school, where I learned how differently people interact with their environment based on their unique ways of learning.

I'm drawn to Psychology, Neuroscience, and Marketing alike because I believe the power of helping people can extend in many directions. Through my coursework and my research at the Infant & Child Development Center, I've begun to understand the mechanisms behind human behavior, and through marketing, especially when grounded in that behavior, I see a way to connect with people and extend that impact to a far larger audience.

Featured Project
A web dashboard for my research lab.

Independently, and entirely self-taught, I designed and launched a lab-wide dashboard that consolidates task management, coding progress, and team communications into one place. It's now used as a core operational tool across the entire research team. A small idea, shipped into something people rely on every day.

Personal
Blue is how I see the world.

People always notice that everything around me is blue. It's more than a color: it's curiosity, calm, and the way I notice the world. These are a few of my favorite places, seen in blue.

Beyond work, I'm a foodie at heart. I really appreciate good food, whether that means trying a new restaurant or cooking and baking something of my own. You'll also find me taking pictures, playing tennis, reading, and taking workout classes, especially Pilates.
